No, we believe every couple should have the freedom to plan their day their way. Couples are welcome to choose their own wedding planner or day-of coordinator.

Alcohol is premitted but must be served by our house bartender. If you plan to only serve beer and wine only you do not need a special permit. If you are going to serve liquor you will need to apply for a special use permit through the NC ABC. Applications for Limited Special Occasion permits must be submitted at least 14 days before the event. Application: https://www.abc.nc.gov/permits-audit/general-permit-information/limited-special-occasion-and-special-one-time-permit-information This process is required to be done 90 days before the wedding and the venue will need a copy of permit.

We welcome couples who wish to include their dog in their celebration at The Barn at Five Star Stables. All dogs must be well-behaved, leashed at all times, and supervised by an adult. Owners are responsible for cleanup and ensuring pets do not disturb livestock or guests. Dogs are not permitted in the bridal suite, and if these rules are not followed, the dog will be asked to be removed from the property.

The Barn at Five Star Stables offers ample seating for your event, with space for 136 guests inside the barn. If you choose to utilize the porch area, you can accommodate an additional 32 guests, providing flexibility for both indoor and semi-outdoor seating arrangements.
Yes we have two handicap parking spots near the barn you can also drop off in front of the barn and then park in the designated parking spot. Parking information- The Barn at Five Star Stables provides ample well lit parking for all guests. Please do not park on the road up at the barn or on the grass. We ask that everyone be respectful of our neighbors by staying off their property and not parking on their grass. Vehicles parked outside of designated areas will be asked to move to the proper parking location. You are welcome to rent a golf cart and have it delivered directly to The Barn at Five Star Stables for use during your event. Only a designated adult driver may operate the cart and it is to be used strictly for transportation between the parking area and the barn. for safety reasons children may not drive or ride the cart unsupervised and it may not be used for joyriding or driving on the grass. If these rules are not followed you will be asked to park the golf cart for the remainder of your event.

Pender County limits noise levels to no more than 70 decibels at the property line. All music and amplified sound at The Barn at Five Star Stables must remain within this limit and be turned off by 11:00 p.m. to comply with county regulations. These rules help ensure respect for our neighbors and maintain a peaceful environment for the community

NO SMOKING OR VAPING in the barn. There will be a designated smoking area available. If we have to clean up any cigarette/cigar there will be a 50$ per hour charge. Please keep in mind you are responsible for this wooden structure. Smoking or vaping is allowed outside only where sand buckets are placed. Please extinguish cigarettes and cigars in those. The BARN At Five STAR Stables- EVENTS WILL NOT TOLERATE IRRESPONSIBLE ACTIONS OF GUESTS. THIS INCLUDES INTOXICATION, DRUG USE, DISREGARD FOR PARKING PROCURES AND PULLING IN AND OUT OF OUR PROPERTY WITH SPEED OR BURNOUTS. SUCH ACTIONS, BY ANYONE RELATED TO YOUR EVENT, WILL RESULT IN THE END OF YOUR RECEPTION EVENT AND $500 CHARGE. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE MONITORED AT ALL TIMES AS THIS IS A WORKING FARM WITH ANIMALS, FENCING, RUNNING WATER, ETC.

After wedding departures please use bubbles, REAL flower petals, etc. at departure of the newlyweds. WE DO NOT allow any loose materials. This includes fake flower petals, spray string, confetti, glitter, or other items than can easily blow off tables and onto our floor or grounds. It can be a slip hazard on our concrete floor and can be hazardous to farm animals and will result in a $500 clean up fee to the client. No helium balloons, Sparklers, Chinese lanterns (or other flammable items), no-floating release items – again, we are a working farm with farm animals
